Being an aunt

Was at my wits end trying to find out what my, soon to be, 9 year old godson would like for his birthday. Thankfully his mother came up with a suggestion - a trip to town on Saturday to choose some new books. We'll make a day of it, pizza for lunch followed by a long session in Waterstones, and maybe even a new T-shirt?
The brother and I recalled how we were turned off clothes shopping for life (hence our current status as cutting edge fashionistas!) by accompanying our aunt Anne as kids - hours she spent in shops, often without buying anything (brain-numbing stuff). I might try looking for a new pair of Doc sandals on Sat, without history repeating itself ;~)
